THE FOXES::
[/li][li] Colleges are based on what magic you excel in as well as which field of study you want to pursue.
[/li][li]College of Meta: Specialize in writing, propaganda, diplomatic relations, oratory. Most of the sorcerers here have the element of Water.
[/li][li]College of Ferrium: Masters of metalworking, smelting, factories, explosives. As one might expect, Fire sorcerers gravitate to this college.

[/li][li] If you're not wealthy enough to get into a college, you get a scholarship to one if you're smart enough or you go into the military.
[/blockquote]
[/li][li] Are ruled by a Parliament
[/li][li] There are different positions within the Parliament itself, such as Head Artificer, Head Enchanter, and Head Chancellor as well as the heads of the different Houses and Colleges.
[/li][li] Parliament members are often addressed as Chancellor, while the Head Chancellor is addressed with the "head." Parliamentary represenatatives of Houses and Colleges are addressed as Matron/Patron and Headmaster/Headmistress respectively.
[/li][li] The current Head Chancellor is Head Chancellor Nikola Vunnz.
[/li][li] Current taken positions (links to bios and players included):
[/li][li] Head Sorceress: Khai Thorne (played by Opal). She is also captain of the airskiff the Erudite.
[/li][li] Matron of House Kensington: Victoria Kensington (played by Lady Featherscribe)

[/li][li] Capital city is the Nexus.
[/li][li] Home to the Parliament
[/li][li] Each House and College also maintains at least a medium-sized facility within the city to serve as a resting stop for their members and as a base for when it's time for Parliamentary meetings.
[/li][li] Also home to a massive arcane reactor (after which the city is named) that creates enough power to fuel the pioneering laboratories of the colleges.
[/li][li] Is usually located over the sea where large storm systems hit. It draws off of the energy of the storms to fuel its arcane reactor.
[/li][li] Very few actual designated residential districts- quarters from the colleges and mansions for the Parliament members, but very few permanent residents.
[/li][li] Parliament members actually rarely visit the Nexus for something besides Parliament meetings, and in their spare time they're off adventuring or in their respective college's or house's home city.
[/li][li] Can be transformed into massive floating fortress at the command of a Parliament member.
[/blockquote]
[/li][li] Rankings depend on your age and degrees. Those who stay and work within their Houses are (in ascending order of rank) Members, Scions, and with the second highest being Heirs. The highest position is the Matron or Patron, who represents them in Parliament. You cannot choose to make your own House, you must place your character into one of the current Houses or make them an orphan.
[/li][li] Those who choose to specialize and work more with a College are classified into Pupils, Professors, and Doctors. There's also a Headmaster, whose main duty is to make large administrative decisions and be the Parliament representative. Similar to Houses, you cannot form your own College, your character must go to an already established one.
[/li][li] Outside of Houses, Colleges, and Parliament, there are freelancing foxes who own either a harvesting company (basically a factory or business that harvests materials like metal and coal to fuel the foxes' inventions) or an airship. You can have your character own a business or airship, but we will be capping the numbers eventually.
[/li][li] There is also the army, which is basically just an airforce. The army is not often used, and their main job is to be policemen and to man the military inventions of the foxes.

- Good site for fox species (except for the Maned Wolf, which we consider a wolf): click.
- Live in floating mechanical cities.
- Value intellect over looks and strength.
- Travel via airships. There are two types of airships: zeppelins (slower but able to carry more cargo) and airskiffs (lighter ships, they can move faster but carry small crews and small cargo).
- Society is mainly made up of Houses and Colleges.
- Houses are the familial ties of the foxes. Birth and adoption determine your House. Usually, foxes marry within a house to keep the bloodline pure (as each house is composed of several different families), but they'll occasionally marry to other houses for diplomatic or emotional reasons. When making a fox character, you can choose one of the houses below to have them come from.
- House Thorne: One of the most influential houses, it produces some of the best sorcerers and scientists.
- House Morgann: Considered a shadier house, House Morgann is also a newer house. The foxes here tend to be wily and street-smart.
- House Kensington: An ancient house filled with excellent mechanics and politicians.
- House Bingle: Known for their extraordinarily short attention spans, Bingles are brilliant inventors, but only when their attention spans and sporadic inspirations align.

[/li][li] College of Valliss: small, yet has high standards. Specializes in all types of magic and biological science, as well as bioferrous science.
