((To boost activity, I've taken the liberty of creating a thread for any characters who might be in the area of the Nexus to post on to just get some RP going.
Also, the narrator of this post is simply a character I invented- if someone would like to expand on her, contact me. I think Khai might be wanting an apprentice soon.))
Wide brown eyes watched the bustle of the Nexus's central plaza.
Tensions had been running high recently, that much the little corsac had picked up off of the street talk. And to do so, the Parliament (with the assistance of House Morgann) had decided to throw a public festival.
Foxes of all walks of life chatted and danced in the plaza. Feathered adornments fluttered amidst luxurious rich fur, and tattered cloaks flapped around scrawny legs. Vibrantly colored banners waved in the wind. Free food, free drink, and relaxation were too many good things for nearly anyone to pass up.
A group of giggling kits darted past, each carrying a caramelled apple, chased by a red-faced official. The orphan watched them jealously as they careened through the crowds, simply enjoying the company of others.
A bundle of high-ranking Kensington ladies strode past, elegantly shaped bodies covered in the bright colors of the current style. They laughed and gesticulated as they talked.
Two scientists, muttering to each other with complex words that the corsac strained to hear and comprehend, shuffled past her, arguing and thinking. Oh, how she wished she had time to think! Simply to think! And magic. If only..
The orphaned corsac's thoughts drifted away into the wonderful world of daydreams as the festival babbled on around her, the vibrant flags making a brilliant contrast against the icy-blue of the sky, as clear as a frozen crystal.
