NAME: Peter Thorne
GENDER: Male
AGE: Young adult
SPECIES: Fox, (Corsac fox / steppe fox).
RANK: Student / master mechanic & future engineer.
EYE COLOR: Deep blue
FUR COLOR: An off-white body with very light tan limbs and some thin light grey grizzled patterns on the tail and facial accents of an even lighter grey color.
ELEMENTS: Light Fire.
DESCRIPTION: He often wears a grey “paper boy” hat and goggles that hang around his neck, a simple brown vest and will often be carrying a red toolbox. And more often than not his light colored pelt is littered with dark grease stains from his latest projects.
But when he needs to impress the other members of the fox communities, especially in the social gatherings that his parents drag him to (for it is necessary that he helps to uphold his family’s honor), Peter will be spotlessly clean and dressed in a black tux top with tails, and black silk top hat and a simple yet elegant black metal cane. The only thing left to put on him would be a monocle, but he can never manage to get the blasted lens to stay where it needs to; so he leaves the monocle well alone to avoid the frustration that they often give him. And when he is dressed to impress he must put on an act as well, giving up his laidback and fun loving yet commanding demeanor for a more witty and sociable act.
PERSONALITY: When he is working in a classroom shop or when in a relaxed setting he is often seen as laidback and fun loving with the occasional prank to be pulled or test drive on his new creation. But when deadlines are short or when the setting becomes a little more serious he becomes very commanding and could pass as a natural born leader … or a little pushy. And when things are not going his way (as a lot of mechanical projects will go haywire or refuse to be mended properly the first time) he can become cross with inanimate objects, and on rare occasions may show little spurts of violence towards them, resulting in a tool or motor part being flung across the room followed by some choice words. But he will never show violence towards others out of anger or frustration like he does with his mechanical devices; however he is in favor of defending one’s self and others when an individual or army is threatening the lives of others or himself. He is very polite and chivalrous towards females and knows how to be a gentleman. And if a female were to catch him expressing his frustrations on inanimate objects he would be thoroughly embarrassed. At times he has also been known to be a little forgetful, especially when he is engaged in working on his latest invention; which has cost him the loss of a few dates, where the poor vixen girl thought that she was stood up and made a fool of.
HISTORY: He has received a few degrees already from the Ferrium college but is now attending Valliss to receive as much knowledge and skills as possible because he desperately wants to impress his father and become a great inventor like him or better.
EDIT: and is now joining the crew of the Erudite, under the comand of Khai Thorne (his cousin).
EQUIPMENT: A tool large tool box filled with all kinds of tools to mend or build just about anything on a whim, his small “Air Guppy” airskiff which is the same type as Tzeitel’s, for they had built them as a team in one of their Ferrium classes together. A good side arm can be spotted on him when he is flying or traveling about outside the colleges and the Houses. And sometimes; like in a time of war, attack, or travel into Feline or Wolf territories, he can also be seen with a modified sniper rifle strapped to his back.
The “Air Guppy” airskiff: This airskiff will only carry one pilot and maybe a small trunk/toolbox on the back. The “Air Guppy” can function as both a hoverbike-like craft and as an airplane-like craft. With the radial engine and propeller both encased in the “nose” of the craft, the air is forced through the tubular body and, depending on the control settings of the pilot, is thrust out the bottom vent, just beneath the seat, for hovering functions, or out the back vent for full thrust and flight functions. The four wings, in a crisscross design, give the “Air Guppy” its ability of flight and they provide a good amount of control surface to maneuver the “Air Guppy” like a small stunt plane. The “Air Guppy” can also be equipped with guns, encircling the edge of the nose to give the pilot better accuracy without losing the aerodynamic structure of the wings. The only downside to this hover/air craft is that the pilot is sitting on top of it like they would on a crotch rocket styled motorcycle, so at times the “Air Guppy” can be considered a more dangerous ride than the larger airskiffs.
RELATIONSHIPS: He knows Tzeitel from school where they had helped each other build their airskiffs in a team project, but he only knew her by her first name and still has yet to discover more about this shy vixen which he already feels impressed by with her mechanical skills and love of flight. But his time to get to know her was cut short due to her graduation from the college of Ferrium and his transfer into Valliss.
Peter also knows Khai Thorne (his cousin) from the Thorne House and remembers playing wither when they were youngling kits. He hasn’t seen her in a while due to his obsessions with school and her position in parliament, but he looks forward to the next time that he may see her again.
And to his annoyance he also Victoria Kensington, who would eagerly search for him at each social gathering that he might attend. He used to slightly enjoy going to the social events for the sole purpose to converse with other engineers and the wealthy business owners in order to get more ideas for his next inventive projects and business ventures; and to occasionally try to receive some respectful future courting dates with the fair vixens that were there. But now with Victoria “coincidentally” showing up at each event that he went to and basically attaching herself to him, acting like they were an established couple, drastically changed his attitude towards going to social events; now he despises them and dreads the very thought of having to go to the next one; especially since his gentleman-like etiquette hardly allows anyway or any hope of the ability to tell Victoria to “Get Lost.”
