NAME: Ivonne Marie the "Ice Iris"
GENDER: Female
AGE: Youngling, though she is nearly of age.
SPECIES: White Tiger
RANK: Cabin Cub of the Barracuda (If Val accepts)
EYE COLOR: Icy blue with darker streaks of indigo
FUR COLOR: White with characteristic black stripes.
ELEMENTS: Dark Water
DESCRIPTION: Ivonne's appearance is all about long, not wide. Her body is slender and stretches out a bit more than a normal tiger, but her long tail makes up for it. She's pretty much full grown size, but still seems childish due to her clumsiness and innocence. Her fur is long and wispy, and she grooms it often to make sure that it doesn't end up in strange angles. Her left ear also has a tear in it from a fight.
Ivonne often wears a fang on a dark blue leather strip around her neck. She also wears inch-wide bands of cobalt around her tail, gifts from her father. Around her front legs are dark blue bands of leather with ammo and holsters for her guns.
Her eyes are pale icy blue with darker accents of indigo, from which she gets her nickname the "Ice Iris," combined with her delicate limbs.
PERSONALITY: Though she may nearly be of age, Ivonne is still fairly innocent to the world. She grew up on the streets of Motley and learned how to tell when cats were malign, but she's still incredibly wide-eyed at the world's wonders. As she sails on the seas, she's always gawking at what more experienced seasmen would consider commonplace. Ivonne also finds joy in the small things- especially snow. She adores the snow.
Some consider her unintelligent, though she's of mediocre brains. Why? She doesn't seem to comprehend pain. She also doesn't seem to understand what she does when she kills someone, views which worry her crewmates. It may be simply a facade, however- in the face of her own death or the death of a companion, it's as if a veil is lifted and she can function as well as an fierce pirate. This also means that she is capable of immense courage in the face of what could be her own death.
The tigress is also very uncertain of herself. She often apologizes far too much or unnecessarily and has a tendency to doubt that she can do something. This leads her to fret over every single little detail and sometimes lose sight of the big picture or waste her time being a perfectionist. She also hates to be considered useless, whether in her eyes or someone else's.
HISTORY: Ivonne was born to the Captain and First Mate of an influential crew. She grew up privileged, with tutors in sailing and all the goodies she could want in the world.
That all changed when her mother and father were killed in a massive storm- supposedly. Ivonne harbors a suspicion that it was a rival crew instead that took them down, then simply lied about it. She took it upon herself to make them proud and become a sailor, though she was obviously not cut out for the job.
She served as a cabin cub on the ship the Red Ruunn for a time. However, the overconfident captain made the mistake of trying to fight the Barracuda and her captain, Ren, beginning her fear of overconfidence. The frightened young cub hid through most of the fighting, coming out just in time to see the captain being impaled on Ren's sword- an image that makes her more scared of Ren than she perhaps should be. She picked up a dagger and faced him, obviously frightened but wanting to leave fighting.
The puma, however, showed his softer side and offered her a position as Cabin Cub in his crew. Ivonne accepted- she figured it was another chance to prove herself to, well, herself.
And she soon did prove her worth. During one of the battles on the Barracuda, one of her fellow crew members had been backed up against a wall and was obviously outmatched. Ren and Arland were both already occupied fending off other pirates, so Ivonne did the only thing she could- she darted to the nearest corpse, grabbed a pistol, turn around, and shot the opposing feline through the heart, saving her friend from getting his guts spilled and earning herself a permanent place on the Barracuda- or, well, as permanent as things are in the feline world.
EQUIPMENT:
Necklace: Ivonne is in the habit of wearing this necklace. She claims it was a gift from her mother that she got for her second birthday.
Cobalt Bands: Simple cobalt rings adorn her tail. These were a present from her father before he and her mother set out on the expedition that ended with their deaths. Ammunition for her pistols is hidden on the inside.
Ammo Bands: Bands of dyed blue leather around her front legs serve both as holsters for her guns and storage for her ammo.
Revolvers: Ivonne has two six-shot revolving pistols on her, usually fully loaded- but not cocked. They're positioned on the insides of her legs such that she can draw them smoothly from when her arms are crossed, cocking them at the same time. Ren demanded that she practice with them after her run-in during the fight, and it was discovered that she's a good shot.
RELATIONSHIPS:
Ren: He's the cat that saved my life. I was at his mercy, and he still let me live, and not for selfish reasons. That's just a little... strange coming from a feline. He's a bit of a mystery to me, but I'll do what he says without question.
Arland: He's... a little scary...
