Magicians are called Sorcerers.
A Sorcerer usually only has one Element, but sometimes Sorcerers have two. (This must be bought from the store, as well as any elements.) They're usually also of the same Element or of the same Facet.
Magic is classified into five Elements.
Then, there are two Facets of each Element.
Magic is passed down through bloodlines, much like any other gene. Dark Facets of elements are recessive, and Light Facets are dominant. Because of that, rare elements are even rarer in their dark form.
We'll assign rarity ratings sometime.
Sorcerers are classified into three basic levels: Novice, Adept, and Master. They often apprentice under more powerful sorcerers to be taught the ways of the trade.
Characters who are sorcerers need to be clever to figure out magic, otherwise they usually self-annihilate after reaching the adept level. Some especially brilliant sorcerers can go above the Master ranking (but this is only granted as a special privilege or for plot purposes).
You can gain magic either at birth if you're especially well-attuned to the arcane energies of Enigma, or you can gain an element by careful focusing and training later on in life.
