NAME: Tzeitel Kensington. (Tzeitel is the same name as the eldest daughter on the movie Fiddler on the Roof, or you could pronounce it like this: “sigh – till”).
GENDER: Female.
AGE: young adult.
SPECIES: Fox (Russian silver fox).
RANK: Pilot & Tinkerer. (is often willing to fly on her “Air Guppy” to explore and photograph for the map makers, and to occasionally fly recon/patrol missions as a less conspicuous civilian/spy for the military, who also taught her both ground and air combat skills, so if needed she can use those skills in defense of herself or her city. She can be hesitant though to give others rides because she is not in favor of customer service type occupations and has difficulty conversing with others as easily as others.)
EYE COLOR: Copper/Gold.
FUR COLOR: Mostly grey/silver with black accents and a white tipped tail.
ELEMENTS: Light Aether element.
DESCRIPTION: She can be considered quite shy so she is a quiet walker and will often try to keep to herself. Even though there is no Russia on Enigma, Tzeitel will speak with a shmexy Russian accent … when she finally decides to converse with others. When she is out flying, away from the cities, she will wear an aviator’s hat and goggles, a long white scarf, two hand guns strapped to her thighs and a belt, full of reloads/magazines for her guns loosely hanging on her hips. Then contrary to her usual “tomb raider” like look she can be forced into more elegant apparel, which consists of a long cape like shawl that connects to a pearl necklace’s pendant, and she will also wear a large feather connected to a brass ring which hangs over one of her ears, which has a striking resemblance to the same ear piece as Reepicheep’s from Narnia, because of her distain towards the common female hats covered in flowers, lace and other frilly things.
PERSONALITY: Tzeitel can be described as shy yet an adventurous "tom boy". She enjoys the open air and flying around with out anyone else around. She is a smart scholar and a skilled marksman with her fire arms. When it comes to politics and news, she is a thinker and a skeptic (can sometimes be seen as a conspiracy theorist if she openly talks about her interpretations of new policies or laws enacted). But in contrary to her usual "tom boy" / adventurist personality and appearance, she can be very gentle and sweet towards others, acting very much like a kind lady, and if the chance arises with out her initiating it, she does enjoy chatting every now and then with others or having a social yet simple "spot of tea" with them. When faced with danger or others being threatened though, Tzeitel will rip herself out of her usual quite demeanor and unleash her fighting / defending spirit upon the "bad guy."
HISTORY: Tzeitel was given up by her birth mother to the Kensington family when she was only about two weeks old, no one knows why or who her birth mother was. (Mr. and Mrs. Kensington know that Tzeitel's real mother was a "Miss Morgann" who acted very terrified and bruised up when she arrived on their door step to give her baby Tzeitel to them. But Mr. and Mrs. Kensington decided to wait till Tzeitel is old enough to tell her that she is a Morgann by birth. So Tzeitel still does not know she is a Morgann.) Tzeitel grew up in a happy and loving home, except for her older sister Victoria, whom Tzeitel tries to avoid at all costs. Tzeitel graduated from the Ferrium college and is doing odd jobs here and there with her airskiff.
EQUIPMENT: Tzeitel wears a pilot's cap and goggles with a white scarf and then a belt full of re-loads/magazines for her two guns that are strapped to her thighs. And then she rids her classroom built airskiff the "Air Guppy"
The “Air Guppy” airskiff: This airskiff will only carry one pilot and maybe a small trunk/toolbox on the back. The “Air Guppy” can function as both a hoverbike-like craft and as an airplane-like craft. With the radial engine and propeller both encased in the “nose” of the craft, the air is forced through the tubular body and, depending on the control settings of the pilot, is thrust out the bottom vent, just beneath the seat, for hovering functions, or out the back vent for full thrust and flight functions. The four wings, in a crisscross design, give the “Air Guppy” its ability of flight and they provide a good amount of control surface to maneuver the “Air Guppy” like a small stunt plane. The “Air Guppy” can also be equipped with guns, encircling the edge of the nose to give the pilot better accuracy without losing the aerodynamic structure of the wings. The only downside to this hover/air craft is that the pilot is sitting on top of it like they would on a crotch rocket styled motorcycle, so at times the “Air Guppy” can be considered a more dangerous ride than the larger airskiffs.
RELATIONSHIPS: Tzeitel often keeps to herself, but she has made a few friends.
Victoria Kensington is Tzeitel's adoptive sister, who is very mean to her and is constantly making Tzeitel feel unwelcome or worthless by telling her how ugly she looks with her "drab" black and grey fur or that she acts like a barbarian. Tzeitel can hardly tolerate Victoria anymore and it is getting harder and harder for her to ignore the biting comments Victoria throws at her.
Peter Thorne was a class mate of hers in Ferrium college where they worked together in a team to make their one piloted air-skiffs. She did think that he was rather cute, but she was too shy to openly talk to him and her graduation of Ferrium college put an end to their connection.
THE STORY OF HER ADOPTION:
As the rain poured over the rooftops of Tollik the floating city, the doorbell echoed through the Kensington home at a quarter past midnight. The butler shuffled to the large door and opened it to see a dark cloaked figure on the door step, dripping with rain water and shivering against the cold.
“Please, I need help.” The weak voice of the wet figure tugged at the butler’s heart strings, and was allowed in. As the butler made his way up the stairs to wake Mr. and Mrs. Kensington the huddled figure pulled the dark hood off of her head to reveal a fair yet fear stricken face of a silver fox with one eye swollen shut from a fresh bruise. In her arms laid a bundle of warmth which the mysterious vixen clung to as if it was her last ounce of hope and love in the world.
The soft padding sounds of feet came down the stairs, startling the cloaked silver fox. She turned to see the butler and Mr. Kensington slowly descending the stairs and Mrs. Kensington trotting to catch up while tying a silky bathrobe around her waist and muttering about the time of night.
Once reaching the cold tile floor the red fox gentleman cleared his throat. “Good evening madam, may I inquire the purpose of this urgent meeting?”
The silver fox gingerly stepped forward. “I am Miss. Morgann and I desperately seek your aid.” Miss Morgann then pulled back a flap of fabric from the bundle in her arms to reveal the tender face of her infant, only two weeks old judging by the fact that the infant’s eyes and ears had just barely opened. “This is Tzeitel, and she …” Miss. Morgann’s voice cracked and her lower lip quivered, she clenched her teeth to fight back the sobs that wanted to explode out of her eyes. “She has been forced into a life of illegitimacy and at the present I fear for her safety.” Miss Morgann tightly embraced the infant Tzeitle and kissed her tiny head. “Please, I don’t have much time to reveal the details of our threat, nor do I wish to divulge them; but Tzeitel needs a new home and a safe family. Please, please can you protect her? Give a chance at a better life?” Miss. Morgann couldn’t hold it back any longer and sobbed into the fabric of Tzeitel’s blanket.
Understanding the love a mother has for her children Mrs. Kensington put an arm around the soggy shoulders of Miss. Morgann and whipped the tears from the silver foxs swollen eye with her thumb. “There there my dear, everything will be alright.”
Miss. Morgann’s quivering lip began to calm at Mrs. Kensington’s words. “I came to you because I heard that you had just had a daughter also.”
“Yes, and I think that she will get along famously with your Tzeitel.” Mrs. Kensington spoke as she watched the grey infant begin to wake and squirm in Miss. Morgann’s arms.
Miss. Morgann’s face lit up. “You are a blessing, thank you, thank you.” Miss. Morgann held her infant up right and close to her face. “I love you Tzeitel.” She kissed the infant’s forehead again for a long period and began to quiver as tears gushed from her eyes once more. “I am sorry my love but for your safety I must leave you with this family. Please remember me, for I will remember you every day.” Miss. Morgann’s words were almost unintelligible due to her sobbing. “I promise little one, I will do my best to steal away from home to come visit you in secret.” Miss. Morgan then had to force herself to place the tiny Tzeitel into the arms of Mrs. Kensington.
Mr. Kensington stepped to his wife’s side. “You have my word, we will keep her safe and treat her well. Your secret is safe with us.”
Even though Tzeitel was too young to understand anything, she could still sense her mother’s emotions of fear, sorrow and high anxiety; and this terrified the infant, so Tzeitel thrust out her arms and began to scream and cry out for the familiar warmth of her mother’s embrace once more.
Miss. Morgann’s face twisted into a painful look of regret and sorrow. The tears flowed from both of the mothers and Miss. Morgann was about to reach out for Tzeitel once more but the gong from the grandfather clock, announcing the half hour froze Miss. Morgann in place with fear. The mother silver fox shot a glance at the large clock and then at the door. Then with a face of unexplainable guilt and sadness she turned once more to her infant and whispered a quick “I love you.” And then Miss. Morgann was dashing out the large door and back in the rain in an instant.
Tzeitel continued to cry out for her mother to return to her, but her cries were in vain. Miss. Morgann was never seen by Tzeitel or the Kensingtons again after that dreary night.
((Note: If anyone wants to play as the silver fox Miss. Morgann, that would be awesome and may add drama ... I left Miss Morgann's first name and her history unknown for the opportunity that someone else could use her as one of their own characters. And there are innumerable reasons why Miss Morgann had to give up Tzeitel, you can be as creative as you want.))
