} Barbed Mountains

Closing off the continent of Anathema on all sides are the Barbed Mountains, huge fang-like protrusions of rock and ice spike into the frosty air well above the clouds, keeping even the advanced aeronautics of the foxes from leaving Anathema. These indomitable barbs of rock keep most of the continent cool with frigid air from the north blowing through their peaks, and were named by the wolves for how sharp they looked.
